See or Look or Watch

See means that something comes to your eyes. You didn’t choose to see it – it was just there.
Look means that you are looking at something you chose to look at.
Watch means that what you are looking at is moving.

  • Suddenly, I saw a dog in front of me.
  • He looked at his watch and told me the time.
  • Watch that man carefully. I want to know everything he does.
