Lose or Loose

Lose means not to win, or to misplace something.
Loose means not tight or to make free.

  • In a race between a rabbit and a snail the snail will usually lose.
  • I have found your gloves, please don’t lose them again.
  • Loose clothing is a good idea when it is hot.
  • He loosed the tie from around his neck.
