Voice describes whether a verb is active or passive. The voice of a verb tells us whether the subject is doing the action of the verb or is being acted upon.
When the subject of the verb is doing the action of the verb the verb is said to be in the active voice.
When the subject of the verb is being acted upon the verb is said to be in the passive voice.
