Active Voice

In the active voice the subject performs the action of the verb. The object, the receiver of the action, comes after the action.

To write in the active voice follow this simple example:

• Subject – verb – object
  Peter drank the wine.
  (subject/Peter – verb/drank – object/wine)

Active voice is the opposite of passive voice.
