Pronouns are words which replace nouns which the reader or listener already knows you’re referring to. They include words such as:
- he
- she
- it
- mine
- yours
- myself
- which
- that
As in this example:
- Hannah made her lunch this morning and took it to work. When she got there, she ate it with her colleagues.
(her/Hannah – it/lunch – she/Hannah – there/work – she/Hannah – it/lunch – her/Hannah)
