Future Simple Tense

The future simple tense talks about an action that will begin and end in the future.

  • I will play football after breakfast.
    (action/football – begin and end in the future/after breakfast)

The future simple is formed using will + bare infinitive of a verb.

  • I will open the door.

The negative is formed using will + not + bare infinitive of a verb.

  • She will not be at home tomorrow.

The question is formed using will + subject + bare infinitive of a verb.

  • What will you buy with the money you received for your birthday?
