When a pronoun is used as the subject it should be next to its verb.

  • He himself hurt because of his stupidity.
    (pronoun/he – separated by/himself – verb/hurt)
    He hurt himself because of his stupidity.
    (pronoun/he – verb/hurt)
  • I watched the show with my friends.
