Traveller or Tourist

Two words which talk about different versions of the same thing.

A traveller is someone who travels for a purpose. For example, for business as in a business traveller. Or for adventure as in people who take adventure holidays.

A tourist is a person who travels for pleasure.

  • Walking in the Himalayas is for the real traveller, not for two-week package tourists who are more used to lying on a beach somewhere.
