Adjectives or Adverbs

Adjectives tell us more about nouns.

Adverbs tell us more about verbs and usually end in -ly.

Remember Ad-VERB connects with verbs.

  • That beautiful car is a Jaguar.
    (adjective/beautiful – noun/car)
  • He walked quietly into the room.
    (verb/walked – adverb/quietly)
  • That big cat runs very quickly.
    (adjective/big – noun/cat – adverb/quickly – verb/runs)
