Talking about two or more activities we say sports.
- Use it before playing sport or going to the gym.

I’d say football is my favourite sport.
(one activity/football) - Basketball is the most boring sport I have ever watched.
- Football and netball are team sports.
(two or more activities) - She competes in three different sports.
Sports is also an adjective.
- He drove a sports car.
(adjective/sports – noun/car) - That’s him – in the green sports jacket.
