PC or Apple

Asking someone, ‘Do you use a PC or an Apple?’ makes no sense. PC is the abbreviation for personal computer which is an electronic device, and Apple is the name of a technology company. PC and Apple talk about completely different things, neither of which ask the intended question. It’s similar to asking someone ‘Do you use a potato or a bicycle for skiing?’

Example questions to ask:

  • What electronic device are you using? (PC, laptop, tablet)
  • What operating system are you using? (macOS, Windows, Linux)
  • What make/brand is your device? (Acer, Apple, Dell)
