A compound sentence is a sentence with at least two independent clauses that are joined by a conjunction.
- I have an orange, and she has an apple.
(independent clause/I have an orange – conjunction/and – independent clause/she has an apple) - Autumn is wet, and winter is cold.
- They got there early, and they got really good seats.
