Below is a list of ways you can use this website to help you improve your English. They are in no special order of importance. Try them all and see what works for you.
Bookmark the Irregular Verbs List. Put it next to your favourite dictionary. By dictionary, I mean a dictionary. Google Translate is not a dictionary. It and other such tools won’t help you improve your English.
Browse the Common Mistakes FAQs page. When you see a question that you think you know the answer, answer it before you click on it – were you right? Don’t answer more than two or three questions per day. You won’t remember all you read.
You can do the same exercise with a friend – you both try to answer a question you think you know the answer to. Who was right?
Browse the Common Mistakes FAQs page with a friend. Ask each other questions from the list.
Bookmark one of the quizzes. For example, Grammar Quiz Level 2. Every day answer five questions. If you give a wrong answer click on the Take a look at my page on … link and read what it says. Do the same quiz every day until you get all five questions correct for a few days. Each quiz has dozens of questions delivered randomly so you will get different questions every time you take the quiz.
Bookmark one of the Mini English Courses. For example, Adverbs Mini Course. Read one page a day from the course. Only one, though. Remember a little every day. After reading the last page of the course do the Adverbs Quiz.
