Using articles with adjectives without nouns

You cannot use articles before an adjective that doesn’t have a noun.

  • She is a beautiful.
    (adjective/beautiful – no noun)
    She is a beautiful woman.
    (adjective/beautiful – noun/woman)

To use an adjective without a noun don’t use a, an nor the.

  • She is beautiful.
    (no a, an, the – adjective/beautiful – no noun)
