Bring or Take

Use bring for the place where the speaker or the listener was, is, or will be in the future.
Use take for the place where neither the speaker nor the listener is.

  • Don’t move. I will bring them to you.
    (listener is in the place)
  • I am at home now. Can you please bring it to me?
    (speaker is in the place)
  • One more beer, and then I will take you home?
    (nether speaker nor listener is in the place/home)
  • He has taken her to Malta.
    (nether speaker nor listener is in the place/Malta)
