Possessive Nouns

A possessive noun is a noun that shows possession and ends –‘s or an apostrophe.

  • The cat’s ball.
    (possessive noun/cat’s – the cat has a ball)
  • The man’s trousers.
    (possessive noun/man’s – the man has trousers)
  • My parents’ car is beautiful but old.
    (possessive noun/parents’ – the parents have a car)
