Adjectives after verbs

Adjectives can be used after some verbs to describe the subject that is performing the action. They do not describe the verb.

  • The bread smells good.
    (bread/subject – smell/verb – good/adjective)
  • The clothes feel wet.
  • That lecture wasn’t interesting.
